From a long time, I have been planning to visit ‘The Smoke Co.’, but due to my extensive travels I was not able to visit. Finally I had some time available last Sunday, and I exactly knew what I am going to do with this time.
First impression was great – high ceilings, natural light, lush green garden view through bay windows, rustic decor, buzzing atmosphere, are few things one would notice upon entering this hidden gem of Koramangala.
We were promptly seated and menus were given. Knowing what I wanted to order, I went ahead and placed the order. Within minutes drinks were served along with “Amosh Brouche” which was a crispy nacho chips and yam beetroot dip. The combination of both ingredients and taste was very interesting.
The starter “Charcuterie” was served soon after. The presentation of the cold cuts, dips, bread and fruits at the wooden platter did look like a work of art, the taste was equally good.
For the mains “Smoke Platter” completely lived up to its expectation. Chicken was tender, ribs were succulent, pulled lamb did hit the right spot on the taste buds and the side of “Creamed Spinach” was delicious.
I am not a big fan of caramel, but I ordered “Flan with Burnt Caramel” as it was highly recommended by our server. In my opinion, it was average.
Overall great ambiance, delicious food, service with a smile made my day and I’ll be frequently visiting ‘The Smoke Co.’ to try other menu items.
